Head Brewer & Brewery Operations Manager

Adam Harrell

Adam joined the Maumee Bay Brewing Company team after serving as a shift brewer for R. Shea Brewing in Akron, Ohio.

In his role as Head Brewer & Brewery Operations Manager, Adam oversees all aspects of beverage manufacturing at Maumee Bay Brewing Company from grain to glass, including production scheduling and implementation, inventory procurement and quality assurance.

While he enjoys all parts of his job, Adam is grateful for the privilege of meeting and collaborating with other partners within the local community. “Sourcing ingredients from the neighborhood orchard or the nearby hop farm offers us a unique opportunity to showcase a little piece of Toledo, 16 oz at a time,” he said.

Outside of work, you can find Adam down the street at Fifth Third Field cheering on the Mud Hens, cruising around town on his motorcycle, or supporting the local beer scene.

Favorite MBBC Beer: Fallen Timbers Red Ale. His pro tip? “As a classic Irish Red, it’s a versatile style that’s malt forward while keeping it light. Made popular by our regulars, try a blend with our Glass Hopper IPA or Buckeye Beer for a malty twist to your Toledo favorites!”

Brewery Sales Manager

Michael Martin

A Cleveland native, Michael moved to Toledo for college and immediately fell in love with his new home. He started at Maumee Bay Brewing Company in 2020 as a server and bartender while still in school, and today, he’s our Brewery Sales Manager traveling the great state of Ohio.
Michael is passionate about craft beer, great experiences, and being outdoors. When he’s not working, you can find him playing volleyball, golf or doing anything that allows him to be outside.
While he’s a Toledo resident now, his Cleveland roots run deep; you can still find Michael cheering on his favorite teams – the Browns, Cavaliers and Guardians – at every opportunity.

Favorite MBBC Beer: Bayside Lemon Shandy

General Manager

Danielle Perkins

dperkins@mbaybrew.com

Danielle has an extensive background in the restaurant industry and as General Manager, oversees all aspects of the Maumee Bay Brewing Company and Rockwell’s Steakhouse operations.

Prior to joining our team at Maumee Bay Brewing Company, Danielle was working at a corporate restaurant concept and thought (for a moment!) she was headed west to be closer to her husband’s family. But an opportunity at Maumee Bay Brewing Company arose, and one visit to our facility convinced her that this was the right job at the right time.

Danielle’s responsibilities are wide-ranging and vary based on the day. You may find her helping in the kitchen, planning one of the awesome events we have here at Maumee Bay Brewing Company, or visiting with guests. In a nutshell, Danielle describes her job as “doing my best to put together the most amazing team possible to take care of our guests.”

Her fondest memories at Maumee Bay Brewing Company include seeing our events grow in popularity, from Christmas in July to Oktoberfest with big beer release parties and other events in between.

“Where else can you work that you would rent live reindeer to celebrate our Blitzen release, or work with a medium for our October events that involve the popular spirits (not the alcohol variety) in the building?”

Outside of work, Danielle lives by the mantra of “work hard, play hard.” She loves to travel with her husband and kids, as well as going to sporting events, concerts and plays.

Favorite MBBC Beer: #FAKEJUICE (but her favorite MBBC product is Roller Coaster)

Executive Chef

Damian Clarke

Chef Damian’s culinary journey was a bit unconventional, but we’re sure glad he found his way to Maumee Bay Brewing Company and Rockwell’s Steakhouse. After attending culinary school, Damian worked in various restaurants and then spent time in the healthcare industry. Sensing his current career wasn’t maximizing his skills, the timing became perfect when an opportunity to join Maumee Bay Brewing presented itself.

As Head Chef, Damian is responsible for managing the entire food aspect of the operation, including (but not limited to) the brew pub, Rockwell’s Steakhouse and our various onsite and offsite events. This also includes training our staff, ordering, and daily operations.

Damian was voted Sous Chef of the Year in 2005 and 2006 by the Maumee Valley Chef Association, and in a previous job, he was selected to cook for the President of Tanzania! Aside from preparing delicious and memorable food, his favorite part of the job is the amazing people he’s met over the years.

Outside of work, Damian is a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and has held season tickets since 2004. You will also find him spending time with his five sons.

Favorite MBBC Beer: Mango Jerry (though not technically a beer, Roller Coaster is one of his favorites to cook with)

Event & Meeting Sales Manager

Rebecca Bennett

Rebecca is Maumee Bay Brewing Company’s Events and Meetings Sales Manager, and she’s a diehard for all things downtown Toledo.
Her goal is to craft extraordinary experiences for the brewery’s guests and events, while bringing a fresh perspective to every aspect. She graduated with a degree in finance from the University of Toledo and is a self-described “unabashed” fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Rebecca is the mother (and coach) of three rockstar girls who participate in cheer, dance, gymnastics, tee-ball and more. Outside of work, you can find her playing softball, spending time with her kids…and cooking up some fun TikTok dances with them.

Favorite MBBC Beer (and more!): Bayside Lemon Shandy – and she absolutely LOVES the Mutz lounge space!
